$50 Million Lotto Max Claim From January 28, 2011 Draw Payout Delayed

The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) advises there will be a delay in paying out the $50 million prize from the January 28, 2011 LOTTO MAX draw due to additional claimants coming forward and claiming an interest in a portion of the prize.

OLG can confirm, at this time, there is one ticket with the winning numbers for the $50 million jackpot prize from the January 28, 2011 LOTTO MAX draw. That ticket was validated at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto on January 31, 2011 and a large group is making a claim on the prize.

OLG is conducting a vigourous prize claim review process and investigation, which requires each member of the group to be interviewed. This process is underway and must be completed before any prize is paid out. OLG’s goal is to ensure lottery players are protected and that the right prize is paid to the right person or people.
